Krisztina Tarjányi

The Hungarian actress, Krisztina Tarjányi was born in Csíkszereda (Miercurea-Ciuc), Romania.
She studied physical therapy at the University of Oradea, and acting at the University of Art Marosvásárhely (Târgu-Mureș), Romania, where she received the Studio Award.

After finishing her studies she worked with the Christian Performing Artists Fellowship and participated the Master Works Festival in Winona Lake, IN, USA.
She worked with renowned directors including Attila Béres, László Béres, John Kirby, Elmér Kincses, Marius Oltean, István Kösvedi, Levente Kovács, Árpád Schilling.

Returning home to Europe she worked as a speaker at the Radio Maria, Transylvania, and started directing musicals for theater groups and schools, and opera scenes at the Crescendo Summer Institute, from which Dido and Aeneas by H. Purcell and Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart was very well received by the audience and critics.

In 2016 she created The Mighty One - Inspiration, a bilingual performance (in english and hungarian), which had the premier at the Crescendo Festival in Tokaj. She is touring since then with this performance in Hungary and Romania, inviting musicians from all over the world to join and enrich the inspiration with music. So far she worked with Emma-Marie Kabanova, Eszter Kruchió, Rose Chen, Swetlana Meermann-Muret, Mónika Sebestyén and Arnold Kacsó.

In 2017 she was asked to direct an open air theater performance about the life of the Hungarian king Szent László. The performance was written by Emese Kincses and the music was composed by the Role band. It involved 50 dancers, orchestra, choir  actors and giant puppets. The performance was watched by tens of thousands of spectators.

Currently she is living with her husband, Tamás Tarjányi in München, Germany and they both work for the Crescendo Summer Institute.
